Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack Opening Cinematic Trailer

Today the mad scientists at DrinkBox Studios are delighted to share with you a story of slime, sweat, and tears with the opening cinematic trailer to their latest PlayStation®Vita creation, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack.

SEE a Mutant Blob’s insatiable hunger for destruction!

FEEL the pain and rage that burns inside a science experiment from outer space!

HEAR the shrieks and cries from puny humans as they run for their lives!
About Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a side-scrolling puzzle platformer about an ornery mutant blob that, after being held captive in a lab that can only be described as something out of a retro sci-fi movie from the early ’50’s, escapes into the world and sets out to eat its way to freedom. Mutant Blobs Attack contains a wide range of exciting features and gameplay modes designed specifically for the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system.

In celebration of the release of Mutant Blobs Attack, DrinkBox Studios has also revealed that they have created a new premium bundle for the game’s PlayStation®3 system predecessor, Tales from Space: About a Blob: Players can now download a new bundle pack with About a Blob and bunch of DLC for just $9.99, and the standalone game for just $7.99.

TME Comic Review: The Art of The Mass Effect Universe

Review By Sean McQuillan

Mass Effect, like all BioWare games, is an ocean of rich character designs, immersive and interconnected storylines, and beautiful set pieces.  An ocean of such depth you could easily get lost in it.  The Mass Effect series followed Shepard as he, or she, saved the universe.  It not only gave you a world to explore, and loads of interesting races and subcultures to investigate, it acted as a tour of the imaginations of the BioWare team.  You get exposition through gameplay, but there is a huge amount of extra material if you have the interest to pour through it. The Art of The Mass Effect Universe is, as the name implies, a look into the artwork behind one of the most immersive RPGs released.  What makes it truly amazing it now just the stunning final art of the characters and locales, but the insight into their design process.  You see tons of early designs and notes from the creators explaining their approach and how they refined it into the final designs.  We see the races, characters, and worlds spanning both Mass Effect titles. Coming in at almost 200 pages, with a price tag of $39.99, this beautiful hardbound book is well worth it to anyone who loves the series, and would make an excellent window into the BioWare universe for anyone curious about the series.

THQ ANNOUNCES DARKSIDERS II PRE-ORDER INCENTIVES

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced a range of pre-order bonuses for its upcoming action-adventure title Darksiders® II, which is scheduled to come to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC on 29th June 2012.

Players who pre-order the game from GAME, GAMESTATION (and GAMESTOP in Ireland only) will receive the ‘Death Rides’ pack. Featuring multiple exclusive side-quests, this pack allows the most fearless adventurers to explore more of the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains and earn additional experience and loot. Aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn’s lost treasure in around two hours of unique game play content.

The ‘Angel of Death’ pack will give you an edge with a unique set of enhanced armour with an angel inspired design as well as a pair of upgraded matching scythes and a exclusive visual trail for your companion crow Dust. This pack will be available in UK & Ireland – retailer tbc.

People who pre-order the game from AMAZON.CO.UK will get to ride into battle with increased speed thanks to the ‘Deadly Despair’ pack. This unique pre-order offer adds an additional speed boost for Death’s trusty steed Despair, allowing players to travel across the vast world even faster than before. This perk is a permanent increase that will last throughout the game.

Jim Huntley, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing commented: “We are happy to be able to offer a range of exciting offers to reward gamers for pre-ordering copies of the game prior to its 29th June release.”

Darksiders II follows the exploits of DEATH, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels DEATH through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother WAR, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.

Darksiders II is scheduled to be available for console and PC on 29th June, 2012. For more information check http://www.Darksiders.com.
